W.O.Giles acquired the "Hol-N-One Donut Co." in Arkansas and ran the company for a number of years, producing and distributing donut mix blends, along with a line of small donut fryers ... He eventually settled the business in Montgomery, AL
1965
The donut business started to wane ... Mr. Giles took advantage of the popularity of fresh fried chicken and created "Chester the Chick" ... This move into mainstream food service included a line of electric chicken fryer models.
1967
Giles Enterprises Inc. is incorporated and a full-scale manufacturing plant is started up and later expanded to completely fabricate & assemble affordable, reliable, electric fryers and other food serice equipment.1988 - 1989
Giles engineered, fabricated & patented a revolutionary Ductless Recirculating Ventilation Technology, which was approved for fryers and ovens ... an industry first. That was followed-up with a patented high-effciency, gas-fired, kettle fryer design.1990 - 1999
The company continued to engineer and introduce innovative food service equipment, including a line of Heated Food Merchandisers, Free-Standing Ventless Hoods, Food Prep equipment and much more.2000 - 2009
Line of high-capacity Multi-Well Fryer units were introduced ... the design was quickly adopted by a major national chain for use in their deli operations ... Designed & introduced a large-capacity gas kettle fryer.2010- 2019
Developed & introduced the Giles custom Computer Controller for fryers ... continued to provide the industry with innovations and operational enhancements for food service equipment ... expanded its line of multi-well fryer models.
